I stopped by Stella's last Wednesday with some girlfriends and wanted to commend Alanna with EXCELLENT service towards us. She was a fabulous help and didn't make me feel the least bit silly to be shopping a year and 3 months before my actual wedding. I was also able to take pictures to show my mother, who is back home in the Maritimes!
She informed me that you were part of a bridal service where you can get any dress in to your store even if it's "exclusive" to others. I am so happy about that, because I feel like your store deserves my service.

After going to numerous bridal salons in Winnipeg, not ONE of them had customer service that was anywhere close to the service I received at Stella's. - Dearest kind, sweet Tammy,
(stop rolling your eyes - I'm trying to be nice - haha!) There are not enough words to be able to even begin to thank you for all that you did for me to make me feel beautiful on my wedding day.
I am a girl who is more comfortable in a hoodie and jeans, than in a dress - and yet somehow, you managed to transform me into a completely believable bride. With you, it's not about "service" - it's about genuinely wanting every girl who comes into Stella's, to feel like she's the most special and pretty bride in the world on her wedding day - and you did that for me.
I was actually dreading having to shop for a wedding dress, but when I found my dream dress on the internet - I suddenly got swept up into having to find it. I was surprised to find that not only could I get the dress in Canada (originally I'd seen it on a web site in South Carolina), but that I could order if from various places. Being 3 hours away from Winnipeg, I picked up my phone book and started to dial. Everyone was too busy or too rude to talk to me for more than 30 seconds - until I called Stella's and got you.
I also had my sister make some calls for me and what I didn't realize is that she'd reached you first. You told her that you had my exact dress - in ivory - in my size. Without her having met me - and on the word of a total stranger - you actually took "my" dress off the rack and put it away for me with my name on it, until I was able to come and try it on 2 weeks later.
I have told everyone I know about you and your store.
When I walked into your store, you gave me attention, advice, assistance, refreshing honesty (uh, uh, you cannot wear hoop rhinestone earrings. Why not? You just CAN'T okay?), and always a good laugh. I think I was the most blown away when I phoned to make my 2nd payment - and you recognized my voice. That's not just service or being on top of your game - it's actually caring about your customers as though they are your friends.
Anyhow, the gown was perfect - fit me like a glove (big shout out to Matilda) - and I was the happiest bride in existence. I got so many compliment and my dress and remember that crazy shawl that I was going to wear in a couple of pictures? The warmest part of my day was plus 3 (thank you Manitoba), and I never took it off.
Tammy, you guided me through everything from start to finish, and through all of the stress of my wedding - I did not ever worry once about my wedding gown - because you took care of all the details for me. On October 16th, 2004 - I radiated confidence and happiness and felt that I truly looked the best I could look on the most important day of my life - and I owe a lot of that to you.
I know you will laugh when you read this letter and toss it on your pile of accolades, but before you do - I really want you to know that you made a huge difference to me throughout the process of selecting and fitting my wedding gown - and that you made me feel like I mattered.
Thank you, Tammy - I won't ever forget what you did for me - and I will be back to shop and visit again.

It has been a great experience selecting dresses, being pinned, tucked, "filled in where mother nature forgot about us", discussing wedding trauma and disaster!
